Niche Overview

Views

Over the last 30 days, the Religion & Faith niche generated 62.5M views across 124 videos (504K average views per video), published across 23 tracked accounts.

Content is almost entirely TikTok-native, with a secondary Instagram presence from Hallow and Shepherd.

Performance is heavily top-weighted. The top 10 videos alone drove 39.6% of total niche views (24.7M) and the top 50 accounted for 78% (48.7M).

The remaining 74 videos generated just 22% combined (13.8M), confirming that a small number of outlier videos are carrying the entire category.

The top video of the period was from @gaabrieeell (Bible Chat: Daily Devotional) at 7.3M views representing 11.7% of total niche volume on its own.

Engagement

Engagement remains exceptionally strong at 16.6% overall, driven primarily by likes (7.9M), with shares (1.48M), bookmarks (841K), and comments (155K) contributing meaningful additional interaction.

Sanctify is the share engine of the niche (921K shares = 62% of all niche shares), while Follow Jesus dominates bookmark intent (326K saves).

Instagram Reels from Hallow, Shepherd, and Pray.com report zero shares and bookmarks due to platform restrictions, actual engagement is higher than reflected.

Hook type: Direct address hook

  • 2.8M views

Apart from these top-performing hooks, here are 18 more hooks that are performing well in this niche:

Breakout Accounts & Apps

Bible BFF

Bible BFF is gaining traction by retelling Bible stories in the style of gossip, reaction content, and casual storytime videos.

The content is designed to feel entertaining first, with creators reacting to the storytelling format in a way that makes religious content more native to short-form platforms.

Devote: Bible Study

Devote, an AI Bible learning app, is expanding its TikTok presence through multiple accounts and two distinct content styles: creator-led videos about Christianity and AI-generated persona content.

The stronger results are coming from simple face-to-camera posts that drive comments and engagement, while the app itself stays mostly in the background.
