Bible App: Two Formats, One 15% ER Video

In 2025, religious apps started seeing a new wave of traction. Devote, an AI powered Bible learning app, is working to keep up with that momentum.
Devote launched in 2024, but only got started on TikTok in April 2025.
So far, they operate five accounts and are testing two different approaches.
The first features real creators, mostly men, speaking directly to the camera about God and sharing facts about Christianity.
The second uses AI headshots with hooks written from the perspective of Christian girls.
Right now, the first approach is performing better.
Creator @jeremypagley already has a video with 500 comments.
“If Jesus was a Jew why aren’t we?” → 297K views.
He also shared another video that hit a record high engagement rate of 15%.
“Noah and Abraham lived on the earth at the same time.” → 130.1K views, 418 comments.
But the app is never clearly mentioned in the videos. Only the AI generated hooks point to it. Building an engaged audience is one thing, but turning that attention into app downloads is another, and without strong CTAs, a lot of that reach goes to waste.
