But now creators are flipping it around.

@studygram.sugandha tries to study with an ice cube balanced in front of her.

Every time it melts, slips, or falls, she replaces it and keeps going.

She did 55.6M views and added the classic anti-productivity hook.

“Don’t study with me”

That one feels more like the reverse of the classic ice-melting timer. Instead of using the ice as a productivity countdown, the ice becomes the thing that keeps her away from studying.

Another creator, @lifewithtsuki_, filmed the same kind of format, but reversed it.

This time, the water freezes instead of melting.

It did 16.4M views with the hook “studying until the water freezes + reward”

And the same freezing-water format also worked for @ethanylim, who pulled another 9.6M views with a similar setup.

Together, these examples have now done 81.6M views.
