The Format Behind Lingo AI’s First Breakout Videos

Lingo AI is another language‑learning app entering the space.
The app launched in 2025 and has been running five TikTok accounts since January 2026.
The creator @sonia.lingoai was the first to cross 500K views, and her two breakout videos share the same structure.
First, she highlights two French expressions to show how blunt the language can be.
Second, she keeps her hands busy with an object while she talks. We’ve seen this tactic in previous cases. It helps hold attention and reduce dead air.
“In England, they say ‘Excuse my French’ when they swear. In France, they say ‘The English have landed’ when they have their period. This linguistic war truly has no end…” → 626.1K views, 1,005 comments
“French is literally the best language. They actually have a word, ‘défenestrer’, which means to throw someone out of a window. Adding this to my daily vocabulary immediately.” → 956.5K views, 1,463 comments
We’ll see if this format continues to generate views, but for now the app is already sitting at 90K downloads and roughly $100K in monthly revenue.
