Lovable’s TikTok Strategy: “I build Netflix in 60 secs”

Lovable’s is entering their TikTok distribution era.

Their hack: rage bait devs with AI demos that barely work and scale it across every angle.

You’ve (very likely) seen the posts:
“I BUILT NETFLIX IN 1 MINUTE ????”
or
“Rebuilding Spotify in under 60 Seconds”

They’ve got vibecoders on payroll doing split-screen walkthroughs:
Prompt ChatGPT to write a Lovable prompt > paste it into Lovable > show it “building” a fake version of a popular app.

That’s the whole play.

It doesn’t matter that the outcome looks nothing like Netflix. That’s the point.

The goal is to rage bait non-tech viewers into thinking it’s real, and bait devs into fighting them in the comments:

“There’s no back-end.”
“This is just a front-end.”
“This is AI slop.”

The more hate, the more views. It’s classic bait content.

They’re pushing this strategy across a dozen different accounts, with most of the creators using the same exact script and flow.

So far, it’s netted 5M+ views.

But here’s something weird. They’re using some of these accounts in non-US or third world countries. Not sure why. Possibly to test geo engagement? Possibly for cheaper creator labor? Doesn’t seem like there’s a growth reason behind it (yet).

That’s not all. Lovable’s been testing other formats too.

At first, they tried a street-show concept, literally walking around with a laptop, showing off Lovable to strangers.
Cool idea, visually interesting. But it flopped. They did a few videos, then quietly dropped it.

They brought it back recently on @lovable.app with more dynamic edits—this time it worked better. One video pulled in nearly 100K views.

Then they tested a mass-clip strategy, mining every podcast appearance from the founders, cutting it up, and dumping the clips across multiple TikTok accounts.

There was also a short-lived experiment with slideshow posts—on one of their side accounts…
…posted literally one day after Replit dropped their own AI slideshow TikTok.

Nothing original. Just rapid fire cloning + volume.

The current winner? Still the “I built X in 60 seconds” format. Rage bait. AI bait. Vibecoder edits. Spam it across every account until something sticks.
