Pingo AI

Language app Pingo AI went viral yesterday with a format we all know by now.

The creator is eating a whole boiled egg while her AI tutor asks how to say “eggs” in Spanish. She answers and gets an unhinged response back, setting the comedic tone for the video.

It’s slightly disturbing, which is why it works. The video hit 3.2M views and over 1.5K comments, with many people asking for the app name.

Pecra

Camera filter app Pecra took a viral hook from a competitor and made it work for them.

“She edits her photos too much” is a two-slide carousel showing the after and before of the same picture. The caption pushes people to download the app.

It hit 1.4M views in just 2 days.

Symmetry

Fitness app Symmetry scored two viral slideshows this week.

They’re still pushing the same notification hack format, framed within a relationship concept.

  • “6 years of relationship and i get sent this” pulled 1.8M views
  • “9 months before we get married” hit 719K views

EcoGPT

EcoGPT, an environmentally conscious alternative to ChatGPT, went viral this week on IG Reels with a clever visual hook: a jar of yellowish water.

In the video, she argues that we won’t have any clean water left if we keep using AI tools like ChatGPT. Halfway through, she presents the app as a better option, showing a few screen recordings of its gamified features.

The post reached 772K views and over 1.3K comments.

Thirdspace

Thirdspace, a social app that pushes you to go on side quests with your friends, had a solid hit five days ago.

The video starts with him saying, “I created a website called MyLifeIsBoringSoIWantToDoSideQuestsThisSummerButMyFriendsSuck.com.”

It hooks you instantly and ended up getting 834K views, plus over 1K high intent comments.

Erly

Alarm app Erly hit 3.3M views five days ago using the popular “crashing out” format.

In the video, the creator is crying in despair while showing how she can’t turn off her alarm. In the caption, she says it’s her own fault for downloading Erly.

Antecipate

Last but not least, journaling app Antecipate pulled 1.6M views three days ago.

They went for the classic “Bizzare hacks my therapist gave me to stop anxiety (that actually work). Slide 6 includes a subtle CTA to the app.
