When You Find The Formats But Can’t Make Them Click
Transcript is another study app that’s been around since 2023, but somehow no one really seemed to notice it.
They created their TikTok account a bit later, in 2025, posted from May to August, paused for a while, and then started posting again in August.
They are now clearly trying to copy formats that already work well in this category, but they are still not connecting with the audience.
They picked up the classic “Why [Language] Is So Hard” format.
and adapted it to the app:
“Who said business majors have it easy” → 2.9K views.
They also tried the “X Years & I Just Found This” hook.
a format used across multiple categories, but again, the traction wasn’t there:
“How did I survive 3 years of non‑stop homework in college without doing THIS” → 1,074 views.
They’re even testing the grade‑transformation angle, the “I had Grade X, now I have Grade Y” hook
“HOW did you go from failing math to getting a 95% on your final exam?!?” → 2.8K views.
